Teen Wolf Is Coming Back!!!

Teen Wolf comes back June 3rd,the wait is practically over. You all know how I was feeling during the Teen Wolf wait, (you can see my skit here Teen Wolf Withdrawal Skit. After much anticipation hopefully we'll finally get some answers to the questions that once plagued my sleep such as

  •  What is Lydia?
  • How is the Jackson story line going to turn out(Colton is now on Arrow on CW)
  • How old is Derek, I remember Jeff tweeting that the license we saw on one of the episodes wasn't necessarily accurate?
  • What are the alphas' plans?
  • Who is this person all hugged up on my fictional boyfriend Stiles in the new trailers????
  • Are Scott and Allison really never ever ever getting back together?
  • Will Jeff Davis come back to Twitter, please?!
I can't wait to get all the answers to these questions, by the way check out one of the most recent trailers, I noticed a trend of demons, and associating the wolves with demons a lot in the trailers what do you  guys make of this? Tell me your observations and what you hope comes to light this season of Teen Wolf in the comment section!

It's No Surprise That Girls Wear Bras

I am amazed at the bralet trend, I want to try one this Summer when it heats up!I find the bralet trend daring and fun, which is exactly what I want to do this Summer. This is how I'd try this trend out:

Bralet Fascination

Follow on Bloglovin
I'm all about give a little, take a little, with my style if you show a little cleavage take something else away. I like the alternation between revealing bits of skin, but that's just my personal style. I've seen this trend done in  other ways such as the bralet and high waist short shorts, which is also cute but it's not exactly my taste. What trend do you find daring, and would like to try,or are you willing to get a little daring this Summer at all?

Breaking The 3rd Wall

I've got some incredible news to share guys...celebrities are human beings like you and I. I know you're probably thinking, "blasphemy", "she's lost it!", but it's all true I tell you. Recently, Twitter has been the place to be, to see celebrities shed their skin on a public platform, whether it's feuding with one another or ranting about relationships.Recently there's been questionable behavior on Amanda Bynes' Twitter account(I still hold on to the notion that a lot of these reports aren't true, and it's all a hoax, remember what Joaquin Phoenix did.)Bynes can be seen tweeting pictures whether it's the infamous bathroom shot, or at the gym like some people I know. Then there's the, tweets like the notorious sexual invitation sent to none other than musician Drake(you know what I'm talking about and if you don't here's the link). Amanda is one of many who have been very candid on social networks, but that's not the point.
The point is that many people are worried that celebrities taking to social networks like the average everyday person would only promote CWS, (celebrity worship syndrome). I propose that these social networks are giving celebrities a gateway to reveal parts of themselves the fans have never seen and may very well not like. CWS stems from the fantasy of this person, what's left when the fantasy goes up in smoke, drowned in tweets and too realistic Facebook statuses.
People adore celebrities because it's all about the image of the celebrity, but you get to create and imagine how they really are. After reading so many tweets, facebook statuses, captions on instagram the imaginary qualities you've given this person begin to cancel out with the actual qualities that can be assumed from the social networks.
What do you think, do you think social networks have promoted celebrity worship syndrome, or done the opposite, by removing the wonder of the celebrity in question?

Drawing A Blank

Hello everybody! I want to bring to attention the massive video tag( people make a video on a specific topic and then tag so to speak others to speak on the topic as well) that is the Draw My Life Tag. The Draw My Life tag is basically sketching, and summarizing your life, through some symbols, stick figures or whatever you think helps describe your life so far in the best way. I've watched many Draw My Life videos from YouTubers like Shameless Maya, Niga Higa and Danisnotonfire and they all have me thinking...what exactly would I draw in a Draw My Life tag?

I can't think of any pivotal moments or things I add, maybe like the birth of my baby brother. Maybe that time I auditioned for the Lion King(I clearly didn't get it, I'm not Nahla material apparently whatevs). I don't have anything really interesting to recall and that doesn't mean I'm going to sit here and cry and wonder what the heck have I done with my life, but it does mean I have some room to add things to my life.
If you've seen any Draw My Life tags feel free to leave the url or YouTubers user name in the comment below. I have a question for you and feel free to leave an answer in the comments, what would you draw, if you had to draw your life?

#WindowShopWithDeejay Part 3!

Hey guys! I spotted a few more items and have come to a few more conclusions on Summer trends.
Lace is taking hold of the Summer! I've always been drawn to the soft feminist of lace and I've seen it all over the place at JC Penny!
As far as shoes, bits of neon and high wedges are huge, and the gladiator sandal is coming back!
Do you agree with my trend findings, have you seen anything that's really been catching your eye? Let me know in the comments!

#Window ShoppingWithDeejay:The Bejeweled Edition

Earrings are such a pivotal part of a look. The earrings add that touch of personality.Today,I was looking at all the jewelry at Sears and decided to take pictures of this Summer's stand out jewelry.

For a taste of simplicity and sparkle go with faux diamonds or black stones. These earrings have plenty of shine but are still considerably low key due to color.
These earrings come of fun and vintage.I could picture some princess running about in these earrings getting ready for a ball.
Gold is and will always reign supreme in Summer.Every girl should have at least one pair of statement hoops to ooze some feminine power in their look.

Neon is clearly winning in the Summer 2013. Wearing neon is perfect for parties or going out for a night on the town. If you don't want to wear a neon outfit apply some neon jewelry like above.

Coral, orange and red is great for that pop of color in any outfit. The different shades let everyone find a little something they like and will flatter their skin tone.
That's all for the earring trends that caught my eye, tell me your favorite pair or if you've seen some stand out jewelry below in the comments.

#WindowShopWithDeejay Pt.2!

Hey guys, here's another window shopping trip. I went to Burlington Coat Factory and Sears!

I loved these false diamond studded pieces to dress up a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.

The colors and tones of these earrings really caught my eye. The dark reddish emerald shade is perfect for night time as well as the pyramid studs, and I loved that shade of blue in the hoop earring.

Basically these bangles are adorned in thee perfect shade of blue, absolutely gorgeous!

These were the other select pieces that caught my eye due to color, and print.
\
I have a very natural love affair with golden cuffs. The cuffs remind me of the Egyptians and I always like to imagine being Nubian royalty.

Introducing some of the Summer colors that trended all throughout Sear's accessory racks

Now lets take a look at some of the dresses, I really loved such as the tube dress below, very feminine and sweet. The sweet heart neckline is flattering on most and the print is very soft and very 80s/90s. This dress reminds me of something Kelly from Saved By the Bell would wear!

There is clearly a floral infestation...I'm not mad!

I love blue and red especially when they spike up the intensity of the colors all in the name of Summer. The blue lacy number above is also a high low dress, the long maxi dress is awesome for a long lean silhouette and the red blazer....it's red blazer I don't need to explain that, lol.
Hopefully you guys enjoyed this post, leave a comment below about any of your favorite pieces or what you've seen in the stores!

Another Wanted List By Yours Truly

Hey guys! I was recently inspired by the mood board I created not long ago, from People Style Watch magazine, while gawking at my creation I go the urge to create this set.

My Wanted List

My Wanted List by deejaystyles featuring wedge sneakers

As you know, I've always been fond of crop tops, but terrified of them at the same time, I still want to get over that fear.I'd like to experiment with disco pants, I always hear people say that they suck your midsection in, and I think pairing it with the crop top would be genius. I love feeling tall, so wedge sneakers are a must. The sunglasses have such a classic feel that I love, and the floral crown is because I love how subtle and daring it is at the same time. The fun of the floral crown will never be lost on me, my inner child squealed at the sight of it. These are my most recent wanted items, what about you, what have you become recently obsessed with? Share your wants and thoughts on this post below in the comment box!

#WindowShopWithDeejay !

Hi guys! I decided to try a new segment on the blog called Window Shop with Deejay. I've gotten into the habit of taking pictures of the things I like in stores,to keep me from spending money. You can see me discuss my shopping frustrations here.I'm going to share with you all the things that caught my eye at the store ,the trends I noticed, and the brands to look out for!
First off lets start at JC Penny, the store has been trying to upgrade it's image and it's doing exactly that. So many current trends were on display left and right, yet many of the things in question were either on sale or clearance racks! When I was younger and didn't entirely find enjoyment in picking out clothes I remember being dragged into JC Penny and my stomach being filled with dread, but now I approach the store with excitement amazingly. Beginning with one of the brands that caused a lot of my excitement, we're going to check out Betseyville a line created by Betsey Johnson, she has expanded into shoes along with her jewelry collections.

Get into spots of neon, and sky high wedges for Summer shoe trends.

Meditation Practices

Hi guys! I want to share with you guys my latest idea. I plan on doing different mediation practices each day for the month of May.This morning I woke up with one thing on my mind immediately, financial problems. The second thing to invade my mind was a math credit requirement and how I'm going to get that out of the way. Two things I dislike the most, were the first two things I greeted myself with. Disgusting self torture such as stress, and repeatedly worrying other things that I cannot change right now in this instant, has to stop. If I spent more time thinking positively and praying(mediating in this case) then perhaps things would be different for myself. I'd have a better outlook on my problems and they wouldn't look so big.
Meditating is going to help me look past the issues in front of me and to look for the good and all the great possibilities. I'm aware worrying has no benefit yet I still partake in it. I need to develop more belief in myself to handle these problems, faith that God is working in my favor, and that the universe is indeed my ally.
Often I forget that I'm not alone in my struggle, and that my struggle does not make me, therefore it cannot break me. I will meditate on rebuilding the confidence I have in my strength, and rebuilding the confidence I have in myself. Focus will be placed on my relationship with God as always, and I'm going to remind myself about the good things in my life and the anticipation for better. My meditation will range from 30 minutes to an hour and I will do different forms of meditating.
Activity oriented mediation which is when you're mediating while doing a calming activity, and the definition of calm is up to you. The mindfulness technique of meditation is something I'm really going to work on, it's merely thinking about the present, no future, no past, just you right now in this very second.Focused meditation technique will be used a lot, I'm going to focus on confidence and faith.
I'm excited for this challenge, in fact I think I'm just going to add meditation to my regimen. Right along with eating, brushing your teeth etc, I'm going to apply some level of prayer/mediation, I truly need it. Some people can go through life without mediating or praying because they have such a strong connection with knowing everything is going to be alright and until I develop that kind of connection with life, I'm just going to practice. I think I'm taking baby steps in the right direction, if I can apply hours of my life to worrying and downplaying my will, skills, and strength why can't I spend just 30 minutes building myself up? I'm excited to add these practices to my life.

Bits of Inspiration Guide My Way

Hey guys! My posting has been somewhat inconsistent I'm sorry and then I'm not sorry, let me explain. Whenever I post something, I post it because I feel it's necessary to share, or because others maybe interested. I don't want to post things for the sake of consistency. The value of my posts lies in meaning and interest, not how many posts I do. Don't get me wrong, I am working on developing more ideas and trying to get inspired into some regularly scheduled posting again, it's all a process. I did this video inspired by Janelle Monae and Erykah Badu's music video Q.U.E.E.N.,  hopefully you enjoy!

Q.U.E.E.N.

There is a lot of struggle for the black woman but every so often you get these glimpses. These pioneers that come out of the woodwork and provoke new thought process and that's what Janelle Monae and Erykah Badu have done in this recent music video Q.U.E.E.N.! Janelle Monae break black feminist ideology all the waaaaay down in this video, and makes you feel good to be a black woman in a society that wants to make you feel otherwise.
